The seven blessings are celebrated over a week of meals, not a single evening. That means several nights, several menus and often two locations, with the family and the couple moving through the whole week. We staff sheva brachot as a week, not as a single booking.

About this event

Sheva brachot means the seven blessings, and in practice it is a week of hosted meals after the wedding. Each night has its own guest list, its own menu and its own setup, and somebody in the family is hosting all of them. Families tell us the week is beautiful and that they barely remember any of it.

We cover the sheva brachot week with a crew that rotates across the nights, so the same family is not left resetting the kitchen between meals and the couple is not explaining the logistics to every guest.

Our staffing for this event

A week-long booking is quoted as one event with the meals itemised, which makes it easier to see what each night costs and to adjust the plan if a guest list grows. We can hold the same crew across the week or rotate them, depending on the Shabbos schedule.

When the sheva brachot falls across Shabbos, the crew covering Shabbos is Shomer Shabbos, and the setup for that meal happens before Shabbos. When a night is hosted at a venue rather than at home, we cover the setup and breakdown as part of the night.

  • A rotating or dedicated crew across the meals of the week
  • Kitchen help for each hosted meal, including the Shabbos night
  • Waiters and bartenders sized to the guest list of each night
  • Setup and breakdown at each location used during the week

Pricing notes

Sheva brachot staffing is quoted per event, with the week itemised by meal so you can see the cost per night and adjust. The quote changes if the guest list for one night is much larger than the rest of the week, and we will tell you before we quote rather than after.

A mashgiach, where the venue requires one, is quoted separately and can be arranged for specific nights rather than the whole week.

Sample menus and roles

The menus across a sheva brachot week are usually family-style, with the same dishes appearing more than once so the family is not cooking from scratch every night. Our kitchen help is briefed on which dishes are made from scratch and which are prepared in advance.

Roles rotate across the week as well: one crew runs the kitchen on one night while another covers the dining room, and a smaller crew handles the quieter final night when the guest list thins out.

FAQ

What is included in sheva brachot staffing?

The week of meals. We cover the dining room, the kitchen, the bar where there is one, and the setup and breakdown at each location you host in. The quote is itemised by meal, so you can see exactly what each night includes and adjust a night if the guest list changes.

Do you staff the sheva brachot dinners as a week?

Yes, that is how we prefer to book it. A single-night booking for one of the seven dinners does not work for most families, because the cost of setting up and breaking down each night is the same regardless of how many people are there. We itemise each meal so the week is transparent.

Can the same staff work the sheva brachot week?

Usually yes, and families often prefer it because the crew learns your home, your setup and your guests. Where the Shabbos schedule makes that impossible, we rotate crews so every night is covered by people who know the event.

How far in advance should we book sheva brachot staffing?

Sheva brachot follows the wedding, so it is usually booked at the same time as the wedding itself. We suggest eight weeks in wedding season and four to six weeks otherwise. Booking the week with us at the same time as the wedding is the easiest way to keep the crews consistent.

Ready to book?

Send us the date, the venue, the guest count and the hours. We will come back with the crew that fits this event and a quote itemised by role and by hour.
